Look! It's a Strawberry Moon
June is the month for strawberries. It should come as no suprise that this month's Full Moon would be named after the sweet fruit that many harvest during this time of year.
According to tradition, this name was universal to every Algonquin tribe; however, in Europe they called it the Rose Moon.
In 2009 the Full Strawberry Moon will take place on June 7 at 2:12 pm EDT.
