A Real Vampire Bat?!
There is a bat that does suck blood, the vampire bat. However, it does not like human blood, but prefers the blood of cattle and birds. And it does not kill these animals. The vampire bat lives in Central and South America.
Question of the week: Why doesn't a spider get caught in its own web?
A spider has two very different threads that come out of its body. One of the threads is sticky and extremely strong. This thread is the one that traps flies, ants and other insects. The other thread is not sticky. The spider walks across the non-sticky silk when it wants to cross the web. Should the spider slip (or get pushed), it has an oily coating on its body that keeps it from facing the same fate as other insects.
Chill candles in the refrigerator for 24 hours before using. They will burn evenly and not drip.

- Use of butter will simplify removing chewing gum from a child’s hair.
- Chimneys need to be cleaned after three or four cords of wood are burned and more often if the wood is soft or green.
