MollysMom:
For any type of chemical exposure situation, it is important to tell your doctor exactly what you've come in contact with. To request a Material Safety Data Sheet for the adhesive send an email to

msds@eclecticproducts.com

An MSDS describes the ingredients and toxicity of a product. This information can be found on many company websites for household products (cleaners, paints, air fresheners, etc).

Hello - I recently used the adhesive E6000 which apparently has atrocious fumes. I only used it for a couple hrs last night in the presence of my 8 wk old but then I proceeded to put a costume on her today that I had used the e6000 on. She had it on for about 2 hrs and now I'm scared to death I may have seriously jeopardized her health! I have a cold and did not realize how strong it was until someone else pointed it out. I found this link containing detailed warning info (I had a sample size bottle that did not have the warning on it) and it doesn't look good. Do you have any idea what the length of exposure I described above may have done to her? She seems fine and we have a pedi appt next week on Tuesday and I'll be sure to ask her about it then as well but I'm so scared I harmed my poor baby girl.

A note to concerned mothers:

Most pediatricians agree that breast milk is best for all infants. Immune system benefits and other health benefits of nursing are reported by many medical professionals. If you have concerns about contaminants in your home or work place, consult with your child's physician. As an environmentalists, I strongly encourage people to reduce their exposure to petroleum based products as much as possible. While it is difficult to prevent all possible exposure, using common sense precautions when handling cleaning products, paints, dyes, household chemicals, and solvents can help reduce your exposure.
