4 Reasons Why You Should Read the 2010 Farmers’ Almanac

  1. Kids are heading back to school, summer is almost over, you may want to prepare for the next big weather season – winter. How cold and snowy will it be?
  2. This summer’s wet, cool weather has been the talk of the town. Don’t you want to know if the Farmers’ Almanac believes this wet pattern will continue?
  3. The economy is still shaky. People especially in northern areas of the county want to budget for oil, heating, and snow removal. The Farmers’ Almanac will help you prepare (and choose the right week for a vacation away from the cold).
  4. Sustainable ideas, living with less, and being thriftier with our limited resources are necessities of life. The 2010 Farmers’ Almanac provides tons of articles, tips, and easy-to-follow ideas that will help you live a more resourceful life.

If you haven’t yet, pick up a copy of the 2010 Farmers’ Almanac. You can order it here online or at your local stores. Just make sure that you get the Farmers’ Almanac with the orange and green cover – accept no substitute.

If you notice a hole in the upper left-hand corner of your Farmers' Almanac, don't return it to the store! That hole isn't a defect; it's a part of history. Starting with the first edition of the Farmers' Almanac in 1818, readers used to nail holes into the corners to hang it up in their homes, barns, and outhouses (to provide both reading material and toilet paper). In 1910, the Almanac's publishers began pre-drilling holes in the corners to make it even easier for readers to keep all of that invaluable information (and paper) handy.
