It can be very hot and dry in July and the rain will help to cool things off. I am sure the skiers would prefer snow in March – April – May and even June snow if they can get it.

I don’t like a lot of rain in the summer, but I don’t like drought either. I also don’t like a bare ground in March, but I don’t like 3 feet of snow on the ground in late March either. As far as personal enjoyment, I think the rain in July is worse.
