Winter and the Persimmon Seed
In a supermarket near you, you should find a persimmon fruit. If you cut it open a seed may be another clue to winter weather.

So far, Farmers' Almanac readers have reported spoon-shaped persimmon seed sightings in Illinois, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Missouri, North Carolina, and a host of other states. If you think you've seen one (or many), feel free to let us know in the comments section of "Weather Chatter" with Peter Geiger.
