Pre-measure dry ingredients like pancake mix into a large zip close bag before the trip. When you want to make pancakes (or biscuits) just add the liquid right to the baggie and mix. (No dirty bowl, measuring cup or spoon to wash.) Cut a hole in the corner of the baggie to pour out the pancake batter (or squeeze out a biscuit.) Saves the camp cook time!

Burn a fire for 3 or 4 hours, move coals and ash, dig a hole and put a chicken, ribs, roast whatever wrapped in aluminum foil then in a cloth or paper sacks to keep dirt out.. put it in hole and cover with dirt. move coals and ash back on top of dirt and burn fire again for 3 or so hours. Remove ash and coals dig package out and remove paper sack or cloth (which ever you use) and unwrap it being careful to not get dirt on foil. unwrap foil and enjoy the food. Also can add/put whole potatoes, carrots, onions in original package with meat for a tasty meal. Cooks just like an over. Be sure to season chicken or roast to taste before wrapping it and placing in hole. Enjoy
