Ingredients
½ pound ground beef
2 cups boiling water
2 cups tomato juice
¼ cup shredded carrots
1 cup diced potato
½ cup chopped celery
3 tablespoons uncooked rice
1 medium onion, chopped
1 bay leaf
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Brown ground beef. Drain fat. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes or until vegetable are tender.
