Fabulous cake! Easy and inexpensive to make. Ingredients are always on hand in the cupboard, so it can be whipped up quickly for company or when you want to bring a dessert to an impromptu get-together or just to make an ordinary weekday dinner a little special. Similar taste to pound cake...serve with fresh fruit, ice cream, etc. I do agree with Angela, though. It took nearly an hour to bake.

This recipe is great. The first time I made it I baked it in a 9 inch round cakepan. The second time I made it I used a loaf pan and substituted almond extract for vanilla. Oh so good and REALLY good the second day!

Made it today and it is delicious. I'll definitely be making it again. It said to bake it approx. 30 minutes, but it actually took around 50 mins.
