I made these, and they turned out really good. I made both lemon and lime, and we liked the lemon best. HOWEVER, I did not do the coating thing, and there is a secret to them: they have to sit and dry for a week before they are ready. After cutting them into pieces, toss in plain granulated sugar and set on racks in cookie trays. (I didn't color the sugar because that will come off on hands - the natural color from the citrus juice/zest is enough). Once a day, turn each one and pour more sugar over them. After a week they will be nicely set and have sufficient texture to serve. I took them to an event and people were passing them around to encourage others to try them.
