Earth Day

Earth Day is in April. Are you doing anything to reduce your footprints? How about composting – it's easy and you'd be amazed at how much food you can compost rather than add to your daily garbage.

Unwanted Sales Catalogs – do you get a lot of them? Some you may want/use but others just add to the garbage. Did you know you could cancel them online at https://www.catalogchoice.org/login

    Hi Sandi -

Yes, Happy Earth Day!  Just started composting a little over a year ago.  It's a fantastic way to not only reduce what is sent to the landfill but it's a great way to get the best soil amendment there is!  It's amazing what can be composted, too.  Our garbage and recycling bins have much less in them on collection day!

We've begun planting trees on our property as a way of helping Mother Earth.  We live by a fairly busy highway, so the trees will not only shield the sight of traffic and muffle the noise, but  will absorb CO2, expel oxygen and help solve problems with storm water runoff and erosion.  Can't ask for more than that!
