Possible northern lights in the U.S. April 17.

I heard that a solar burst from the sun could bring the aurora much farther south than normal on the night of April 17… not sure what time though? Unfortunately I'll probably have rain/snow/cloudy skies, but maybe someone else here will get lucky and see it.

I tried to google for an update but didn't have any luck. Anyone else know more about it?

Man, that sux- it would be nice to have gotten a reply for this kind of post… I have seen auroras only 2 times, once in ND, the other over Brisbane- Id love to see another sometime while our nights are somewhat clear, but not freezing… I'll try too look it up and keep you posted, MaineMan- take care.

It was very cloudy that night, so I didn't see anything. That was the night it snowed though, so I woke up in a pretty good mood regardless!
