I am new to this…and I need to make sure….

SmileI am new to this forum…my grandparents and dad talked about the ‘signs’ before you have procedures done.  I have to have at least one tooth pulled….and according to the calendar, I have next week to get it done…because the signs say they are in the thighs and legs…Am I interpreting this correctly?…I live in Alabama and my birthday is 2/19…I know I am a pisces…but the signs showing were for other signs…so I want to make sure I interpret this thing right…I’ve had enough drama…lol…I just had my first iron infusion last week for being severely anemic…and I don’t want to get the problem fixed but suffer more…I know when I had my wisdom teeth pulled I had 4 dry sockets and it was horrible….so…I want to do this right….;-)

Does any of the experienced folks on here know if I am reading it right?…I would appreciate the input…..

Thank you,

Me…

LaughingInnocentOk…maybe I should have said hello everyone!…HELLO EVERYONE! IT'S GREAT TO MEET YALL….[NOT SHOUTING, JUST MAKING SURE YALL KNOW I AM GLAD TO BE HERE....]..yay for smilies…

If anyone knows anything about the 'interpretation' of the signs, to know when is the  best  'time' to have a tooth pulled or how all this relates, in regard to health…

I am beginning to overcome years of being sick….and after the iron infusion, a week ago…everyday it is getting better…[anemia is horrible]…so if I can prevent more drama by certain 'times/signs' then that would be great…

Also, if anyone knows why I crave baby carrots and pickles….[not pregnant]…and for the most part their just about the only thing I don't get sick from…we're talking my dad bought a case of grimway farms organic carrots [the best they don't taste like a gas station...]there were 30 1lb bags in that case and I ate the whole case, by myself within a week…so ….I have food and vegetable issues….any 'healthy input' on what types of healthy veggies, to keep me healthy….[one can't live on carrots...lol...although I apparantly seem to be trying..lol]…

I had gastric bypass 2 years ago and it has improved my health BUT…my diet is extremely different….and my 'cravings and tastes' of foods is so different…as always, I still digest beef better…but I go out for fruit….and veggies…and again, one can't  live on watermelon…but if I could I SOOOO would…;-)…..so if there is advice, tips, etc…..anyone would like to share…I would love to hear it….also…healthy recipes, as well…

    THANK YOU….for any input….

    Tee

Welcome, fellow veggie nut! People can say all they want to about the best time to get teeth pulled, but if you ask me, here are my criterion for the best days to have teeth pulled: 1.) When your insurance covers it  2.) you have plenty of time to whittle away with a good book (if you have kids and or a partner to divide your time with, tell them to give you mothers day early 3.)if you smoke, make sure you have something else to keep you away from the butts for at least 4 hours after the procedure ( I had mine pulled in the PM, so as soon as i got home from the dentist's, i took a PM and crashed, so nic fits werent a problem for me as much……

Whatever you do, dont delay your appointment based on the house/sign rules…infections from abcess teeth and gums can wreak havoc on any persons immune system…. as for veggie cravings, great! a friend once told me that our blood type dictates what our metabolism needs… im the same way, and im A+, whatever that mumbo jumbo means in the grand scheme of things, whatever…

I'm relatively new to the board as well, and most ppl post different times than i , so let me be the first to say HOWDY!

Well Howdy to ya Snowbunny! Thanx for the reply….I am better with the tooth(s) since the iron infusion…and when you're craving carrots like I am….lol [no pun with your name snowbunny lol ;-) ]….it's hard to eat carrots…lol….

Since the surgery a couple of years ago, I like vegetables…but I'm picky with how I eat them….lol….but hey…you can get grimway farms 5lb bags for $7…but I'd eat that dude in a day…lol…but since the iron infusion the cravings are better…but I am picky about my veggies…lol…

And yeah, I'd agree the best time is when the insurance covers it…lol…no kids…just nieces and nephews…which I love dearly but, wow a nap around the 2 year old and 4 year old is awesome…let someone else babysit….lol…call me selfish…..but hey…hopefully I'll be asleep….and the machine will get the 'call'…..lol….

Thanx for replying…I appreciate the advice…Have a good weekend…watch out for the storms…they're just picking up here…last week it was tornadoes all weekend…this week so far, just wind and cloudy…but others not so lucky…so stay safe…;-) Tee

Welcome heyteriSmile.  I'm not really certain about the signs for teeth extraction either but I have a few suggestions for veggies while your healing. You could try cooked carrots, mashed or baked white potatoes,  mashed or baked sweet potatoes, sauteed spinach, sauteed or boiled cabbage, boiled brocolli,  sauteed or boiled squash. I know you mentioned that you are picky with how you eat them but since healing from an extraction requires soft or liquid foods you would probably have some trouble chomping on carrots. You could also try carrot juice. Hope that helps.
