Is it true or a proven fact that you grow more crop in a curved line than in a straight one?

The rows must be parallel. As long as the rows are spaced properly, parallel, and form a line (not a loop) it does not matter whether they are straight or curved.
Useful if you're planting stuff along a fence (such as peas).
