…Gotcha didn't I? Ha ha. But in all seriousness. I JUST got done extracting seeds from 7 Persimmons. I'll post up some photos in this thread for further proof, and interpretation, so check back soon!

Me too Rickster.  Thank you, thank you.  I've been waiting for this since the beginning of August.  Can you give me a description of what a persimmon look like?  What does the tree look like?  Do they grow wild?  Is it edible?  Sorry if these questions appear stupid.  I really don't know, and although I'm a few states up from you; I'd like to see what Virginia Persimmons look like too.  I'm so glad that there were waaaay more spoons than forks.  I could only make out about two.  What do I know? :)   Thanks again!

Welcome. Persimmons do grow wild. The trees around here are booming with them. Here is a photo of two persimmons. They look exactly like the persimoons that I cut open. Actually, those pictured are on the branch that I picked from. They are edible. It'll be kinda hard for me to take a photo of the tree its self, becuase its in the woods…so a bunch of other trees are around it.  I seriously hope there are more then two. WAYYYYY more than two!

Thank you Dan. I resized the photo to make it smaller becuase its MASSIVE. I guess it didn't work or something, becuase in your quote, the photo BLEW up. Argh…at least you can see them though. The photo was taken with my Droid Cool

  5. The Rickster says:

I resized the photo that way it wouldn't run everything off the page. Argh..

I see that the Droid takes impressive pictures. Smile  Great photo, btw.

  7. The Rickster says:

Thank you. Y'all should see the photos I got of some fireworks at the Fourth Of July celebration we had near by. Those came out good. Even took some pictures of the MOON with my droid, through my reflector type telescope. Those came out alright, surpriseingly. Thanks for the comments guys. I'm very proud of my Droid. It'll be getting used alot when it snows!

Not that I know of. I've heard to cut open no less then 6 when useing the Persimmon seeds as forecasters. So..I cut open like..7 or 8 Cool…and the photo is of the results.

Rickster thank you ever so much.  Like everyone else says…Nice photo.  I will be on look out for them.  FatherFrost if you or Fatima30 find some; let me know the outcome.  Thanks again Rickster.  It's hard reading what WJP says about this Winter vs. what Mother Nature seems to be telling us.  I guess it boils down to waiting and see.  Right now I'm more concerned about Hurricane Earl :)
