Alrighty…I dunno how many people know this…but I was glancing through the Old Farmer's Almanac…and for the South East, it says “Cold And Snowy.” Giggidy.
Now before everyone asks “what did they say about the PNW?” Or “What about the Mid-West?”… I only glanced at the South East because that's where I live…and because that has become a area of debate this winter, since a hand full of people are on the fence due to the type of La Nina we're supposed to have. But, it did say “Cold and Snowy.” Works for me. Now this kinda coincides with the, dare I say, Farmer's Almanac, because they also say for the S.E., “Cold and Wet”, or “Very Cold and Wet”. Its something along that line, but probably closer to the first one in quotation marks.
SO! With that said…what are your thoughts, and opinions?
P.S.- I was so stoked to see what the book had to say, I reached across a women's buggy to get the book, and she was beside the buggy. Rudeness much?

PNW will start off cold and snow then faze into a warmer trend and rainy. and most of the mid west will be half and half sometimes warm sometimes cold. but the uppser mid-west were i am suppose to be cold and very snowy we'll see. southeast is a toss up bro i hear one second it will be cold and wet now im hearing it will be avaarge and wet. but u found all them spoons and knifes and 1 fork i think. so i hope u get yer winter u been dreaming up Rick.. And the OLD FA is retared they update there forecast like girls change there undies. same with noaa and accuweather. u never see the FA Folks change there stuff.

True. I'm dreaming big Dan..and thats my downfall. Mom hates to see me so excited…only to see me get all let down and depressed because it wasn't what I wanted
Thats Johnny's problem too when he gets excited about something and all his hopes up and gets let down he gets real quiet and depressed and it makes me feel real bad my kid is down. So i know where your mom is coming from for sure. If you get let down man allways ALLWAYS keep your chin held high and let it roll off you back capeech?
Dan
i can handle it.theres always next year.
Well Rick, you and I both live in the SE…and we always know that every winter is a toss up…well, just about. I'm not sure of the farmers almanacs predictions, either one. I have read that their forecast last year wasn't accurate for this area. We seem to be in the bermuda triangle of forecasting. It will be hard to match up the winter like last year(in my opinion anyway),it was practically picture perfect. I have also read that with la nina you never know what your'e going to get…so maybe some days cold, some days warmer than average, and maybe some days just average. But maybe overall we can end up getting more of the cold days in the grand scheme of things. I'm personally not leaning toward one way or the other just yet..
Well I, or we, can hope. Thats all there is to it. I'm leaning on all those Persimmons, with all the spoons we got. The persimmons were correct last year!
I'm sorry but the southeast will not see sustained cold and it will not be all that wet. I understand what the FA is saying and I know what you want but I wouldn't get my hopes up(believe me I love the cold and snow and would love for the FA to be right).
On the bright side this will be the last “mild” winter for a long time.
We'll see what happens. Right now, nature says other wise. I my be liveing in denial, but oh well. I'll take my hits when they come. Just like WJP, I'm sticking to my guns.
Alright just try to keep your chin up and not get to excited. weather changes in heart beats. and when yer down it worries yer mom dont worry her.
Dan
I can handle the downfall. I wish my mom didn't worry man..theres nothing to worry about. So what if we didn't get any snow? Its not gonna be the LAST snow. I hope anyway. There will be other times.
she worrys cause she loves ya and doesnt like to see her son so down. and if u dont get snow this year man and i think you will. from what i hear the next 7 winters will be COLD big time even where u stay..
Dan
Oh Lord bring on the cold. I don't know how much longer I'm going to be here in S.C. however. My girlfreind wants me to go back to California with her. At the moment, we're waiting on a settlement case from State Farm in reguards to a car accident her and I got into on new Year's eve. Once we get all that well, and over with, we're gonna see what our options are. I have been to California. Stayed out there for one month back in 08' I beleive. I honestly don't know if I have ever been so happy in my life..
You will get your cold i promise u that. and califorina is my old stumping grounds im from lake tahoe, ca thats about 60 west of los angeles. calif is a nice place but i wouldnt wanna be there when the big earthquake hits man. nevada and arziona will be our new coast line. and calif. will be a 3rd world country. id say stay there in S.C for a bit look at all yer options and talk it over with your girlfriend. and i hope everyone was ok in the car accident man..
Dan
Yup last year i was let down because we got hardly snow and it was warm i was sad i hope to god that this year will snow? I bought the farmers almanac but not this one here could somebody tell me wich one is better?
Much of canada will see a cold and snowy winter. and FA's book is the best book to buy. the OLD FA is pure crap there future predicts change daily. were here at FA never changes and if it does it's seldom.
Dan
I like that. “Their furture predicts change daily.” Thats brilliant.
My opinion: don't get too disappointed or excited about winter in early September. Things are very murky at this point, and we don't even know what the next month will be like, or even this month really.
Whatever happens, happens. Gotta make the best of whatever weather comes your way, you can't change it.
agreed 100 percent maineman. and lol rick i do come up with odd ball stuff to say. But its true though.. About what i said about the OLD FA.
