We have a word for that… it's called autumn.
Just because it is cooler and rainy now does not mean Winter started. As MaineMan said, here in the East that is called Autumn.
It's called Autumn in the West as well. No it actually is all year round weather (I live in BC which is a rain forest).

Yea thats the start of Autumn man.. Winter is when it snows and and get cha couple of inches or more of snow.. Crap man i heard its allready snowing in the moutains in Washgiton,Oregon,Idaho etc way up in the moutains. Thats kick butt id like to go up there and check it out. Moutains snows are allways so beautiful..

Grandin, yeah Whistler/Blackcomb has already received snow in the morning several days in a row this week at the peak.
When I was in California, my girlfreind and I went to Tahoe- Carson City…you wanna talk about pretty? Thats part of the reason why I wanna go back..
Hell ya id love to go to whistler/blackcomb and see the snow fall. i bet it's badas$$!!

Hi ya'll. I love Tahoe-Carson City area too! Almost move there a few years ago. So beautiful and the weather is so much nicer than here in the south.

And i agree with you 100 percent on the tahor-carson city thing.. and the south his times when the weatehr is nice but hella hot alot in the summer time this year was the worst by im glad the summer is just about done heh.
