The current forecast low for this night is 32 degrees from both national and local sources! Since I have not had a frost yet, this would be my first frost as well.
This cooldown looks brief as temperatures in surrounding nights remain in the low 40s, but average lows are going down and this will become more and more common!
The other night it got pretty cold here too 38 but thats it. it is getting warmer out though but will soon dip back down in the 60's and 50's. the west coast has been cold and damp all summer now they got a big heat wave my buddy in los angeles says it got to 113 there yesterday fudge that man they can keep the heat. im cool with the cold! Gotta send fender his heat though he likes that kinda thing.. But maineman your cold is just about to begin in the coming weeks trust me along with mine..

I think your first freeze in NC will be in late Nov. might be sooner than that but im thinking late november. Reason why i think that is by looking at my map and fatherfrosts and listening to everyone elese winter thereys. and basiclly it all ads up in my head that N.C. will see there first freeze in late november. but it may be sooner..

well for N.C YOU WINTER WILL TRALLY GET REVED UP WHEN YOUR FIRST FREEZE HAPPENS. AND LIKE I SAID I THINK THE FIRST DREEZE AND THE TRUE START TO N.C. WINTER WILL BE IN LATE NOVEMBER. BUT IT COULD BE SOONER TOO.

i dunno the temps right off hand southeast weather in the winter can be bi-polar cause one day it could be 30 something the next it will be in the 60's. and ya i do believe there will be a big january thaw in jan going till march than flip backto a cold patteren and last into the spring and summer of 2011.
