Thoughts:
-Central-west based La Nina by January
-Very unstable/variable pattern. Everyone will see significant periods of above and below average temperatures.
-Southeast, best chance of snow is December
-Lots of inland runners and great lake cutters
-White Christmas for many

I agree with everything MaineMan… but I would consider moving the “warm” line at least down to the Ohio River. Especially with the way the temperature trends have been setting. But I like em!!!
whats your guestimation on how many panhandle swings , and delta lows that ohio is going to have?
Now this outlook i do agree with you got the right idea maineman. And i thought you would be included in the jackpot? Depends on where you live in maine though man cause there is a diveding line one part of maine will get snows not all the time but some. and the other half of maine will get the gold on snow. But you got a good outlook plus i like how u did it by hand shows u got heart man.
Dan
Fantastic work! Dude, you'll nail this one!
One thing…… YOU should be in the Jackpot, you're in for 100-140″!
Thanks for the kind feedback everyone!
Plowman, yes the warm line very well could be a bit farther south. At this point, I wasn't too sure where to spot it, so I took my best educated guess. I think it will be close. Keep in mind that you may be in for some “above average” temperatures but with above average snow as well. You could also end up colder and still get the snow… that would make quite a winter for you!
adogg30, it's hard to say other than “more than normal.” I think a massive number of storms will sweep across that area this winter… some will bring rain and some snow, but overall definitiely above-average snow for the year.
grandin and wjp, I sure hope I end up in the jackpot… I'm still a little bit skeptical as I think there may be too many inland runners and GLC for my own good. All depends on whether I can get enough coastal storms that will explode… which is very possible. wjp keep in mind that the record snowfall for my town (I did move this summer, I'm now close to Augusta) is less than 140 so 140 would be a record.
My new average snowfall is 80 inches (was 90 inches near Farmington) so only 10 inches less on average which isn't bad… except Farmington got half an inch of snow today when I haven't seen a flake yet.
Oh well it's coming soon.
Oh you moved? Congrats.
In this case, My guess is 90-120″ upon doing hefty research for ya.
This looks fantastic I'm in ohio so I'm excited to see some snow but would like to not see any ice
wjp,
90-120 inches would be a great amount! 2007-2008 was my only 100 inch season last decade. And thanks for doing the research, I know that you do your homework and put a ton of attention into detail, which is one reason your forecasting is so good.
Thankyou for the compliments. I do my best…which sometimes, still isn't good enough! Mother nature can be a real b*tch!
Ok Guys don't laugh…but what does the EC mean for Virginia? Excellent chances, or Equal Chances, or something else?
Yes Snow… it's Equal Chances…
On a side note, you know if anybody's laughing or not.
