Southern Winter Outlook

I do have much knowledge of forecasting weather. I live in Houston, Texas and i am obsessed with snow. I would like to know if anyone sees any chance of snow for Houston Texas. :) And what does the remainder of the winter looks like for the southern United States, more specifically, Texas. forecasters are saying that Houston will stay above average and we wouldn't get any snow this year. :(

Will next winter be colder? i hope so….

I’m in Dallas and am curious as to the weather as well.  After our horrific summer, I’d like a heads-u as to what we can expect from Old Man Winter.

  2. FatherFrost says:

Well keep in mind that Houston averages less than 2″ of snow per year. So it really only takes one system to put you all above average. I think you’ll see some snow. Whether it accumulates or not is another question.

Fatherfrost do you think that South Carolina will get accumulating snow this winter? if so how much??

  4. FatherFrost says:

There’s no telling how much Clemson. To try and forecast that is near impossible. But I do think youll see some snow this Winter.

  5. HoustonSnow says:

I think this is our last week of triple digit temps in Texas or most of Texas.

I hope the cool fronts keep pouring in.

  6. FatherFrost says:

They most likely will HoustonSnow as the cold air is building over the Arctic. The northern snowpack is coming back and the Ice should start its cold-season growth again soon.

And typically each Autumn cold shot is stronger than the one before it before youre in Winter and its downright cold. lol

Can’t Wait For The Cold (and snow!)
