What a beautiful sight it was to wake up to! Yesterday, they were predicting scattered showers possibly mixing with a few flakes overnight. This morning I wake up to a wet 1″ on the ground already, with big fat flakes falling to the ground. The evergreens, the smallest twigs on the trees… everything was white! It was one of the most beautiful snows I’ve ever seen
. Of course it has all melted now, but it was awesome while it lasted. It’s been so long since we’ve had a gentle, wet snow.
Surprise snow!

No snow up here, but we did get a frost on the car windows… going up to 45 – 50. I can see how maybe one last snowfall would look good, as long it melts in the mid morning..
Well, maybe not THE last snowstorm:
20th-23rd. Sunshine gives way to increasing, thickening clouds.
24th-27th. A major storm evolves over the Southern Rockies and pushes eastward, bringing significant snows to Kansas and Missouri. Less snow farther north.
28th-31st. Clear most areas. Unseasonably cold for the Northern Plains.
Glad you enjoyed some late season snow. Even when it doesn’t stick around long, it’s nice to see on the trees and lawn.
The frost was very thick here too. Didn’t want to scrape off my windshield very easily… 15 degrees this morning!
Are there any Spring/Summer predictions yet? Although I told everyone not to get too comfortable with the warmer temperatures; guess what I did? Yup, I got comfortable with the warmer temperatures. I held out hope for one last snow the first week in March, perhaps the second week, after that….I was well adjusted to the warmer temperatures. Then last Friday is was 81 degrees! What?!? No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not ready for 81 degrees! Thankfully that was only for one day. I love the Spring, but I’m not into Summer. It has it’s advantages (especially if you’re younger). I sure hope that we don’t have a hot Summer like last year:)
