gophers eating everything

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to get rid of gophers. They are eating my onions, hostas, rose bushes, and everything that doesn’t have a fence around it and i’m sick of it.

If you have the space, a row of stinging nettles may help to stop them. Also a plant called the toothache/novocain plant may work also. It numbs the tongue. Ground hogs, squirrels don’t like it, nor rabbits. The latin name is “spilanthes acmella”. Sold as an herb.

  2. Gardener to Gardener says:

Get rid of the slugs that attract the gophers in the first place. My mother-in-law had to get her lawn treated every other year to get rid of the slugs…and, sure enough, the gophers went away too…so far.

I use the stakes that go into the ground that vibrate randomly.  As long as I keep batteries in them they work. I bought mine at LOWES.
