Running the heater in mid-late May!

It’s felt like early April lately. Temperatures have struggled to get out of the 50s… in fact one day last week didn’t even hit 5o. Together with the constant rain, it’s been a bit raw lately.  Still haven’t seen 70 degrees since October.

With lows in the lower to mid-40s after relatively cool days, I’ve actually run the heater a bit, which is extremely rare for this time of year.

Incredibly, we’ve managed to avoid frosts in spite of the cool weather (probably because skies have not been clear at night. Our last frost was April 22 and could be our last of the year (average lost frost is first week of May).  All of the rain and lack of frosts have made the landscape a very rich green, but some seasonable weather would be great too!

Tomorrow’ s forecast is 73 degrees, so perhaps we can break the 70-degree barrier tomorrow!
