Hurricane/ Atlantic tropical activity season forecast?

Hey, I’m wondering what the forecasters on here think about the Atlantic tropical activity for late summer and autumn this year… I’m wondering if my area will see any of these storms (we very rarely get hurricanes, but it is common for the remnants to make their way up and bring some heavy rainfall) compared to average. Thoughts?

NHC’s forecast was for slightly above average tropical activity. I’m hoping for some weaker tropical systems to move up from the gulf; the drought in Texas is horrible right now (One reservoir is 36′ below full pool), and that translates to a much hotter summer for the places just to the north. We’re having our second heat wave right now which is only supposed to have a brief lapse before the anticyclone reforms almost directly over my area for 7-10+ days. Are you dry up in the NE right now?

It’s been on and off… very wet week followed by very dry week, and the cycle repeats. Same with the temperatures… hot one week then cool the next, etc. Variety is good I suppose.
