So you really think it will be normal for me in the PNW? I could use a normal Spring/Summer. This year we have lost over 100 hours and more by now of average sunshine!

  2. sonnysnow92 says:

This is what I have gotten so far and this is just early maps just to have a little idea but in Nov I will post my official maps but yea at this point you look normal with slightly above normal snowfall and normal temperatures but after all the info I have been reading it’s sounding like the mid west is in a bulls eye this year and still trying to find out more on what the PNW may be in for.

  3. sonnysnow92 says:

Were I have the ice threat it needs to drop little to the more south and the snowfall maps need to be adjusted to south somewhat.

  4. Blizzardlord says:

in those areas u have above average in snow..do u think there could be more likelyhood of blizzards there?

  5. FatherFrost says:

These are good maps, but I respectfully disagree. With the way the teleconnections are lining up, SOMEWHERE is going to have below normal temperatures. The chance of Above Normal temps. in the Mid-Atlantic is not that likely atm, and not likely at all in the NE. I also feel the AN snowfall should be expanded outward and south.

This is just based on the following: Weak La Nina, -QBO, continued -NAO/-AO cycle, variable PNA, potentially stronger STJ, low Solar Output, and increased volcanic activity.

  6. sonnysnow92 says:

    Yes blizzards for sure possible.

  7. sonnysnow92 says:

FatherFrost yes I know that I should had shifted the snow little more south and made below normal temperatures for Midwest area but I had little info and I plan to fix this now all of the info I have read after making the maps.

  8. T John says:

So even with a little tinkering, you think TN is going to be in the “Normal” range this winter?

  9. sonnysnow92 says:

you will see little bit of everything but lots of ice storms and few snow storms

  10. T John says:

Think the amounts will stack up above the average?

  11. fatima20 says:

I think the mid atlantic will see a lot more snow, and the northeast and southeast. It looks to be much colder than that for 3/4 of the country!

  12. romanian says:

What do you think this fall 2011 will be like for southeast (North Carolina)?

  13. fatima20 says:

I live in southeast virginia, so me and yoth see below norma temps in fall. There wll be more crisp, autumn windy cloudy days. Fall will start early. IT will begin right around the first dy of fall, instead a month after like usual. Winter will kick in in early november. Old man winter may pay us a visit of some snow around Thanksgiving, thena hecktic windy december will come. There will be a chilly arctic breze bringing a very snowy winter for us, finally making records!
