If the area that you are wanting to protect is not to big, this trick works time, Take some wooden stakes or any other kind and place them in the ground around your garden, then take fishing line and place about two or three strands on the stakes around your garden to make a barrier. Make sure one is at least chest height on the deer. This works because the deer will feed mostly at night. They can not see the fishing line and as they approach the garden they bump into the line and it scares them away. Should work and not cost much. Best of luck!!
