  1. SnowSE says:

it says colder than normal temperatures for south Carolina, but what about the snowfall? it says good snow fall for some part of south carolina, but not for the central part of it, are we going to get snow or ice? or both? please let me know……

    PLEASE!!!!!

  2. FatherFrost says:

If you’re in the non-colored area it means you have equal chances of seeing above or below normal snowfall. So basically, expect near normal conditions. Remember, this is preliminary! My final forecast could end up looking like a total frankenstein compared to this.

  3. SnowSE says:

so, do you think with a below normal temperature and above normal precipitation, we could have snow and ice in South Carolina this winter season?

  4. PlowmanOhio81 says:

Frost… I always love your maps man!!! Good luck with your forecast… I’m liking it!!! LOL

  5. FatherFrost says:

Well thank you, Plowman. I’m glad you enjoy them. :)

SnowSE, I think it is a good possibility of seeing one or two nice accumulating snow events for you this winter, given your location. Keep in mind, SNOW is VERY tricky to forecast so far out and my snowfall forecast isnt a very high confidence forecast. But I did my best with what the atmosphere, oscillations, etc. are doing. So dont be upset, if im wrong. It is still far out yet.

  6. SnowSE says:

What about ice stroms? could we see any of them???

  7. FatherFrost says:

Thats always a possibility since there has not been a major one since 98.

I like your forecast maps Fatherfrost. I hope thet come true.. I was looking at the 20 day futurecast on accuweather.com And it hits to a big cool down from Chicago east to the eastcoast even upper eastcoast in the England states. I was in rhode island this week paying my respect at my friends funeral and allways knew rhode island was small but wow took me 45 mins to get one end of the state to the other. I’ve allways liked the eastcoast people there afre allways nice to me and my family.. I was even in new york city on 46 & Broadway and was on camera there it was fun..

Great maps, as always, Father Frost! Thanks for doing this. Any mention of cooler weather is welcome since it has been SO hot.  We’ve been under a devil ridge since the end of May. Any idea as to when it will finally break down? Last week our local met said that we would have above normal tempratures for the next three months. I’m hoping that isn’t the case.

  10. winterlove says:

Move down the “above normal snowfall” line a little bit and I’ll be happy. LOL

  11. fatima20 says:

Your forecasts are grea fatherfrost. What time did you post these last night, because I was up here till 9:00 p.m. last night. You did great. Looks like a bad winter for us in southeast virginia.  my opinion, a bad winter means a good one to me! Lol. Spiders are starting to com in my house! Yikes!

  12. Rhonda1963 says:

This prediction states that Indaina is going to be “One Cold Winter” this year…
With blizzardly snowshowers that will restrain the movement of conjestion and
    pollution.

I’m so glad to see the old gang coming back !!!   Father I like your forecast ALOT , do you think there will be a early start ???  I’m thinking a return something like 09/10 winter which was a great year for snow for me.  We have heavy fruit and berries, the bees are high in the trees, and the deer are getting darker coats.  Whats your thoughts ??? Or anyone else too !!   karen

  14. fatima20 says:

I think weshould all work together to form an amateur wather team on farmersalmanac.com I think a few of us should work together to make predictions a start a weather team, where we do forecasts, and make updates if bad wintr storms are inthe area. Maybe, post videos and stuff and just have ohots and have a great time working together as if we’re on actual tv. Man it would be fun and great. I’ll try to work some stuff out and see what’s going on.

  15. undercover921 says:

Looks good, I hoping for some big some falls!… but for me no ice storms, I can do without them.

  16. TheMaineMan says:

Nice maps as always…   looks like I better prepare  before winter!

  17. Flake Fan says:

How did I miss this? D: Great outlook! I’m very excited for another above average winter! Even though the new climate normals have us getting almost 25% less snowfall, these last two seasons have been much above average! I hope you’re right!

On another note, a study by NASA seems to throw a much larger amount of doubt on global warming. Moat articles I read are very biased one way or another (One managed to throw ‘climate alarmists’ into almost every sentence, and the other said that because the one article was heavily biased, it meant that you should still believe in the climate change. It never mentioned anything about NASA’s data). But, here you go.
