I know that noboby likes it when people ask for there specifice forcast for the winter but id like to ask you anyway.
i live in northeast ohio just outside of cleavland to the west about 3 miles.
Your maps say that it will be very cold and very snowy for our area. are you refering to the snowbelt areas being extra snowy or is this weather coming down like alberta clippers from canada?
dont answer some or all if you dont want to but i am curious!
BTW will we have a early start to winter this year in general?

I’d be happy to answer your questions and i’m flattered, that you would even address me in particular for these questions. I love this part of farmersalmanac.com, when people ask me questions and that’s what i’m here or. I’m here to chat about anything. I think honestly, that the upper midwest including your area, will get and early start to winter like in october. Every now and then, the winter starts as early as september sometimes, with heavy snowfall in the midwest. As fo me here in southeast virginia i might get an early start to winte, but i’m pretty sure your area will have an early start so get the shovels out this year, because i think you’re gonna need them!
Ya i kinda thought you where the new go to guy for weather stuff now.
anyway thanks for your time. winter is my favorite season and my winters have not been that great the past few years in my opinion!
this year may be different.
Hey Fatima, I live in Akron Ohio which is about a 45min- 1hour drive away. Do you think we could have a good winter where we see a lot of cold and snow? I know we live in the Secondary Snowbelt, but I am hoping for a great winter with lots of cold and snow. Thank you for any answers you might have.

Fatima, What is your opinion of how winter will be for us here in the panhandle (martinsburg) of West Virginia? Will it be colder and snowier and an earlier start to winter for us? If you don’t mind me asking. Thanks
ohiobiss79 I of course think this winter will be havoc for you with snow! For you Jayne 1954, you should see decent snowfall, like Your part of West Virginia always does. I bet your weather is very similar to Washington D.C. most of the time isn’t it? I noticed you’re not too far from them.
