Preliminary Winter 2012 Outlook–UPDATE #2 TODAY!

I will be posting an updated Preliminary Winter forecast for the 2011/2012 season later on today with some brief discussion and more in-depth maps. Keep an eye out for it!

    Another sign that fall is quickly approaching is that there is starting to be more constant storminess as the jetstream pushes farther south during august. The Farmer’s Almanac is calling for snow by Halloween :)

    hOPEFULLY NEW JERSEY WILL GET MORE SNOW THAN THE NEW ALMANAC SAYS.

    i forecasted snow for halloween as well! I will be getting an old farmer’s almanac and a farmers’ almanac and I will compare to two almanacs throughout fall and winter and see which one will have the best winter forecasts installed  for this winter coming up and I will probably post it but, I’ll be observing both of them!

    What is the winter going to be like for the St. Louis area. I have been seeing it is supposed to be very cold and very snowy. Is this true?

    even my long range forecast has zip.  same as its been all “winter”.
