I have a cousin who is having her first baby and due Sept. 18 and was wondering about maybe when she might have it according to the almanac.

My daughter is due with her first baby September 30th.  I’ve been reading about the phases of the moon lately.  Babies tend to be born around the full moon.  There is also something called a Perigee.  This is when the moon is closest to the earth.  Combined with the full moon, this is an especially powerful time.  The full moon comes from the 13th to the 20th.  The perigee is on September 12.  Based on this, I told my daughter to expect her baby anywhere from the 12th to the 20th.  Don’t quote me on this.  I could be wrong.

My daughter informed me that her birthing instructor said all that moon thing was a bunch of bunk.  I plugged birth dates of all my family members in.  My son and I were born on full moons, but he was an induced labor and I may have been.  The other members of my family were all born on new moons.  The new moon for September starts on the 27th.

Update:  The new baby was born on September 27, 2011.

Congrats! How funny everyone was born on a new moon. =)
