Hey there my fellow snow lovers… so I was checking GFS tonight, not that it’s entirely accurate. But it’s forecasting a frost and some freezing for the weekend of the 1st. I don’t know about anybody else, but I’m dually excited about this!!! I’m sure it’ll change 100 more times but it’s still nice to see a computer model spit it out… not to mention it’s showing a large snowstorm type event for Minnesota around the 11th. Muhahahahaha!!!

BRING IT ON!!! :-D

Hey I’ve been watching the GFS models to and it’s still hinting at a frost/freeze bout the 11th this is now the 3rd day it’s been hinting at it so it’s gotta be possible

Yeah, I’ve always used the GFS 18z the past few yrs for wintertime… and it seems as long as you stay within 0-48 your about 99%. Then up to 120hrs on the it’s almost 80% of the time. Once you get to 120-168, it’s about 60% accurate and after that your just dreaming. LOL

The NWS and TWC are slowly lowering their temps though to match what the GFS spit out on the 18z when I posted the thread. I think the GFS is gonna be pretty accurate again this yr. The temps are still consistant on the 18z run today, but the “snowstorm” got moved way north into Canada.
