Most years, what happens in the fall is *usually a good indication of how the pattern will set up for the winter, right? So far, it’s been fairly busy with warm spells and cool spells, and lots of moisture in the east and even one that brought widespread rain to the drought areas! If October is anything to go by, the Northern and easter part of the country is going to have winter the hardest this year, with anywhere else not having much but sporadic tastes. I haven’t been on nearly as much this season, and I’m hoping to change that! C’ya all around:)

I live in michigan and like to snowmobile to pass the winter months, we usually go to the nothern lower “snowbelt” area of Gaylord, Grayling, and surrounding areas…. my question is how much snow can we expect for those areas? will there be a lot of Lake effect snow, or many warm ups?
yeah flake fan can’t wait for you and me to get some serious snow here in virginia for once!
Lakes should be warmer this year from the heatwaves, and with frequent cold shots, lake effect snow will be plentiful. The east and north will have another great winter, but the central plains and the south probably don’t have much to look forward to, IMOATT.
