try hot lemonade with honey as a sweetner…if taken before bed, you usually feel some better in the a.m. not cured but better..using a real lemon is the best, but even the concentrate will help you..
and of course hot is best, but even cold lemonade with sugar as sweetner should help
a clove of garlic every day…..just chop it up, so it is small, put on tsp, and swallow it with a drink of water…you won’t even taste it…
I use ginger chews for cough…also any chockolate candy helps a cough…at least for me…but it may just be the sugar that does it, not the chocolate..not sure on this…
and none of this is instant…you can’t take it and then feel better in 15 min…it takes times to take effect…
think I Kinda did a bad here…I am absolutely new here, just signed up a couple hours ago…and first thing I Saw was was her post about feeling punky and just jumped in…
I have used everything I MEntioned above..and its always helped me…but I Dont’ know if its ever helped anybody else, course I DOn’t know if anyone has ever tried it either….but as long as one is not allergic to any of that stuff…shoulnd’ hurt…cause lemons are Vitamin C, and honey is a antibiotic…so seems to me, it would work…
and I THink Garlic is a super food, but I Can’t chew it…that’s too much for me…but chopping it up and gettingit down that way, for me was the answer…I Try to eat a clove a day…don’t always succeed tho..
Hot tea with lemon and honey has always been one of my favorites.

Upper respiratory infections can be viral or bacterial. Hot lemonade will not kill this infection. Go see your doctor NOW! I was told I had asthma for years and during seasnonal allergy time it was much worse. Finally I went to a doctor that really listened to me. As it turned out, I had a viral and bacterial infection that was killed off wih 12 weeks of antibiotics. Do not give an infection the chance to multiply and take over a system of your body.
TAke staeam of vick vapours and massage your chest, throat and feet with vick. You will feel better.
Stay away from sugars…this is what feeds the bugs…this include many fruit which are loaded with fructose, also go easy on the honey. Cough drops have sugar…opt out for sub-lingual zinc tablets. Get your vitamin D3 (OHvitD3) levels tested…it’s to be sure you are not deficient. You need to get your levels up to optimal and, voila, you will find a huge difference in your health and get a lot fewer colds and infections.
Lot’s of folks may laugh but this year my husband and I have made a tea out of rabbit’s tobacco and drank it at the first sign of a cold and we have not gotten sick this year. In the herb shops it’s called everlast. Not sure how you use it but the tea is just one teaspoon of dried herb in a cup of water, let steep about five minutes and sweeten with local honey. The article I read said the honey was important.
I feel your pain. Though above given tips quite helps you better, but i could suggest you a simple way to get rid from bacteria which scorching your respiratory infections. Use warm water to drink, add some amount of salt in warm water stir it well and then pull upto throat use the habit of pulling everyday so that you cut off bacteria completely. And you will not feel the irritation while on coughing. And even can get rid from cough too if you add turmeric to warm milk and drink it. Make the habit of doing like this regularly.
