I am waiting for my first accumulating snow of the year, and i am hoping this is it. The forecast started saying rain, then snow, and now a mix….. can somebody tell me if i might get some snow from this?…. I live near Flint MI. also… When will the winter get cooking for the great lakes, if this storm isnt the start?

Its snowing as im typing this….. we are forecasted to get 2-4 inches of that fluffy white stuff now till tomorrow morning, im hoping that it will stick around for awhile, maybe winter is finally here to stay for michigan?
Here in Fort Wayne Indiana we got at least 4 inches according to the news channel. I don’t recall going under a winter storm warning in November since at least 1996 and I was almost 7 then. Nice that it was the first November snowstorm for the city since at least then, but that does not include other smaller snowfalls we had since then. The 1971 – 2000 30 year average puts us at 3.1 inches as the average, but going back since 1996 we never reached or exceeded that until now. It seems November is a snow drought for us even though we normally don’t see that much for the month as it is. I know for sure the 1981 – 2010 30 year average snowfall wise for the month will go down comparing to the old 30 year average.
We were suppose to get snow outta that system last night blizzard king but NO just all rain. But you guys and other town in north indiana got up to 8 inches of snow! Lucky

It was amazing to watch how the rain was switching over to snow and the fact that you could drive as little as a few miles and it be the difference between rain and heavy snow. It looked like the town where my mom lives in got hit hard with snow and she don’t live that far from Warsaw. If anything I believe you get snow a lot while fort wayne sees little to nothing. Unfortunately while I was typing my last comment yesterday someone rammed into my black poniac in the parking lot so now the snowstorm gave me some car damage. To come to think about it, I need to have a snowball fight with my brother blizzardlord before all this stuff melts away!
