can anybody tell me are we supposed to get a snowstorm next Monday Dec 19. I heard at work today by a couple of people that beyond the seven day that their calling for a snow storm for the Ohio valley Can some one look it up on the gfs too see if this true? please thank you.

Well, I hope that’ll include the mid Atlantic as well. I do expect to see something at the end of December. And if I don’t see any snow by then, I am going to be pissed lol
but, even so, there will be plenty of chances for snow and I am hoping for above average snowfall this year compared to last year
I haven’t seen anything on the GFS. There is a low pressure system that will be coming through, but the Ohio Valley is going to be on the wrong side of the system as of right now. So it will all be in the form of rain. Initially the GFS run sent the low pressure straight east through central Kentucky and gave the Ohio Valley some rain, then changing to snow. Now it’s almost all rain with some snow showers to follow up because the system is hooking it straight up through Illinois/Indiana.
Our time will come, just have to be patient
yeah, the mid atlantic issadly very slow.
Too slow !!! lol
patient? nope, I just want to kill something.
ok, maybe not. it’s monday. my patience is shot.
right now it looks like s.wisc,n ill,n ind,and s.mich may see snow out of this.from there not real sure.keep hearing a lot about the storm right before christmas.may be one to watch out for.
@fatima20
tell me about it. I have been very sick of this stupid warm front over here in maryland. But it seems to be getting chillier and slowly it looks to me that the cold is finally starting to set it. I just hope it’ll be enough for snow to come our way
Yea I am waiting on a big storm for Ohio. Well Springfield, OH that is. We need a cold hard winter. Too many germs going around. Anyway if anyone hears of us getting snow in this area post something please
Does anyone think the La Nina will strengthen and the NAO and AO will tank?
I don’t know the weather speak, but…….. what ever it was that should have gave the lower 48 a smashing good winter… petered out. or maybe it just didn’t show up?
