Well, it’s official, I have grown weary of the weather pattern we seem to be in the midst of – in southeastern Ohio. I read so many posts and reports showing my section of the state being in the high above average snowfall range for this winter, and nothing has developed. We got less than 1″ of white stuff yesterday and then it stopped, seemingly to never return. What happened to all of the projections of promise for snow lovers such as myself? I just checked the 10 day forecast, and it depicts mid 40′s all the way through. Is this winter going to end up being another bust? I muddle and puddle sweat throughout those long summer months, holding onto hope that I’ll have snowfalls that will bring back the childhood glee, but now, here I sit, feeling much too adult like with the reckoning that it just ain’t happenin’! Does anyone happen to know the number to the snow God’s, I am willing to pay international rates to make my plea!

there’s an other anomoly (sp?) on our forecast, for next week. I’m not real hopefull, but I’m keeping a wistfull eye on it.
I was hoping the weather guru’s here could tell me if its shaping up nicely or getting ready to fall apart.
I am so ready for “the big one,” and yet it seems to always evade this area. Hopefully there will be something hitting soon, I know from reading throughout the posts here, they say weather patterns will be changing mid January, and I am more than ready!!
yeah and they are saying the change is also coming for the northeast AND the Mid Atlantic as well :)
Let’s hope for us all !!
@Jayne1954 Thats all we can do at this point. And praying wouldn’t hurt either. But until that does happen, we shall be dreaming of snow. But we have to keep the faith :)
I am with weather weary, I live in south central wisconsin and have lived by the almanac and this is the first year it seems like nothing is correct in their long range forecast, at least not here?????
You are not alone, people, the same thing going on here in Traverse City MI, a blizzard on Monday and Tuesday and today 46 degrees, not right, and I do not really believe in so called “FORCASTS” for this year, anyway. Grass is out, birds confused and am frankly PO.d that there is NO SIGNIFICANT REMAINING SNOWFALL……it will all be melted by tomorrow, and then the ICE THING will start again, WTH is happening, I am 54 and long for the days where you could walk on your parents roof in the winter!!!!! Oh, what sweet memories, and waiting at the bus stop for a bus that never comes…:) it is equivalent of how your grandparents used to say, “well, when i was a kid, we had to walk everywhere,” ok grams, we got bikes now, and also remember going barefoot in the snow, what healthy kids we were, grams would always say, “your heat escapes your head, get a hat on, or mits, or jesssssus, put your damn shoes on…..oh gram, we just running outside a bit!” What a hoot….now grams has long since passed, she would equally question this puzzle now!!!!
So glad I’m not the only one that is feeling the woes of weather mis-reports. My hopes were so high through the Fall, reading this, analyzing that, only to find myself sitting here, into the first week of January, and literally high and dry. I’m thinking of putting my humming-bird feeder back out, they may find more use from it than I am getting from my snow shovel. We’ll hang in there and fantasize of flakes, hoping wishes do come true!
