Planting Corn

We followed the directions on the seed package the last 2 seasons.  While we did have an okay yield, we would love to have more.  It is a home garden, 20′x40′.  We will also be planting green beans and watermelon and tomatoes and maybe some squash and peanuts.  Any suggestions on the best use of the space or should we till more ground.  We have decided to do 20′ rows.

I’m planting my beans with my corn to allow the beans to climb the stalks. Try different variety of corn, ask locally nursery for the best one for your area/soil. I’m no expert, but enjoy playing in the garden.
