When I first saw this map, I thought for a second that it meant snow, not rain. I suppose an incredibly long spell of record high temperatures has to be followed by a few days of very heavy rainfall.

do you live around there in that weather map i live in new york city and there were so many severe thunderstorms this summer here in new york city at one point i thought there would be a tornado or a hurricane like last year … hurricane irene… but there is a hurricane threat for the mid-atlantic and the east coast i live on the east coast i hope the hurricane is not bad last year during hurricane irene flooded all of brooklyn and some fatalities broke out during sad after hurricane irene
