“Shocking” photos!

Not only do I have a love for taking photos of my classic bicycles from the 60′s, I also love taking photos of lightning. Yes, I know it’s dangerous, and that it can easily kill me. But,  the adrenaline rush awesome. So here are the best shots I have gotten so far.  Hope y’all like’em as much as I enjoyed catching them.

The camera used is a little point and shoot camera. A Kodak m-580, on a 8 second long exposure.

The first two are the most recent, and from the same storm. The last one was shot a while back.

The  shot I had to edit twice just to make the bolt visible. It was so bright, it basically drowned it’s self out with it’s own light.

Well done, it obviously takes talent to get a good picture of something that only occurs for a split second. As much as I like seeing these pictures… stay safe!

I’m glad y’all like them. Thanks for the compliments. I shoot from different areas of my yard, but I TRY to stay confined to the front porch, that way I can keep shooting even when it rains. S.C. has some wild lightning storms. I’ll keep the photos  coming, as long as mother nature keeps the storms coming.
