I rototilled about 10” mixed some lime in some 5-10-5 had the tester between 6-7 for the Ph’ and a little over ideal for the ferterlizer.. The soil is light green like mold Tomatoes look like crap the basil I planted a month ago is only a 1/2 ” high and the soil is kinda on the hard side.. What is going on??? I get 5+ hrs of sun.. Can anyone help me on why the soil is green and my plants hit a dead end of growing? S.O.S. I waited 7 monthes for tomatoes! I need tomatoes..

Looks like you added too many additives. Leave the fretilizer out, forget the tester, only use additives afrer your crop begins to grow. Miracle grow dissolved in water works wonders. if ya have probems with the maters then add your “cures”. Till it all back adding some Miracle Grow soil, anbout 3- 40 pound bags. Get as many plants as you think ya need from a local source. I get mine from Ace Hardware. The plants should blossom in a few days. I also use “Blossom set on my plants. They produce sooner for me. Dont know where you live but I live in Georgia, otherwise known as the “peanut state” thanks to Jimmy Carter. We are actually called the Peach State because of our sweet peaches and because of all the sweet lasses that are the real Georgia Peaches.
Thank you soretoe, And i’m from jersey and I cant agree more about the sweet lasses from Georiga, had one back in the day. They are the real peach.. I buy my soil, plants,e.c.t. from Agway. But I will try the Miracle grow. Like I said before. every year I have a great garden, But for what ever reason it got some kinda green mold filming the top layer of dirt… I’ll keep at it..
Thanks..
P.S If ya’ ever get a chance try a Jersey peach, Just as sweet.
if you need to know how to grow tomatoes again go to when to grow tomatoes i wrote it but i am guessing since when the tomatoes are tiny little seeds the tomatoes come out a tiny bit green and when it was growing maybe a storm knocked over onto the ground it could be possible that’s why your soil is green and you tomato died or stopped growing
