i do not live in oklahoma but oklahoma rarely sees snow in the winter there are just a lot of tornadoes and severe storms
The winters here in the last 3 years have been very bad. So bad, that many lives have been lost. There was a blizzard that was unheard of for this region and at least 13 people were killed. In 2010 there was an ice storm that took electricity from most of OK for almost 2 1/2 weeks. In the past OK was only known for tornadoes & storms. As history shows, weather can change in regions. I think harsh winters might become part of OK. I would advise anyone living in this region to be prepared for severe winter conditions at all times. Thit day before the severe blizzard hit, it was 75degrees. Always keep extra firewood, water, blankets & a generater if you can afford one. I am an RN in an ER and I can promise you that winter weather disasters can be detrimental. A little snow is always nice, but don’t assume that “a little” snow is all that is possible in the Midwest. It could be a deadly assumption.
