Be on the lookout for foggy mornings in August. An almost sure sign that there will be a cold/stormy winter ahead. I remember August 2009 had a quite a few thick foggy mornings, that winter was good (snowy). Last August had maybe 1 foggy morning. We ended up that winter with 2 traces of snow for the entire season . So here’s hoping for a lot of thick foggy mornings next month. August is also the time to keep an eye out for other signs that nature foretell. I was in West Virginia last weekend and I saw a home that had LARGE persimmons on the tree! At first I thought it was apples. At least I think it was persimmons If anyone fine one don’t forget to cut the seed down the middle. Let us know your findings please.
