Not my maps but i thought you all would like to see this. ~Dan~
I can dig that!
I like the forecast for my region, but I still can’t see how Seattle or Portland will receive the same amount of snow as the Cascades no more than 150 miles to the east.
WOW, this map to Mother Nature’s eyes! We are usually light grey.
HOLY SHIZNITS! 6-20 inches!
LOL of course first winter I dont have a four wheel drive and it may be Snowiest winter in a good while!!
Wow 32-50 inches that’s awesome! Sure beats are few inches last year before winter practically. It was mainly very warm during winter sometimes like summer temps. I love that forecast. It could be just that or more only time will tell! I wonder when we should start seeing the things that predict the harshness of winter?
ShawnM you can start looking now. Foggy August mornings. High hornets nest, large spider webs, lots of berries on trees or bushes. If you don’t see any of these now keep looking especially by the end of August. By September Nature should be giving us a whole lot of clues! Where are you? Weatherlore states that “if the first week of August is unusually warm the coming Winter will be snowy and long.” Let us know what clues you see.
Well it was very warm the first week of August we were either in the 90s or low 100′s. I’m in Fulton, MO. I think we have had 1 or 2 foggy mornings thus far in August. This summer we have had heat advisories and atleast one excessive heat warning that I can recall!
Please make the inches image that correlates to the color alittle bit bigger to see…had to squint. I can ONLY hope that IL will get that much snow.
Hope we get 10-16 inches here in South Carolina.
thanks for the snow map and report
This belongs on the front page, so im moving it back up
10-16 inches for S.C……I’m game!
Why are theres so many 2011 postings on the front page? The last thing I want to see is predictions for last winter, especially since 90% of us was very disappointed.
@ Snowlover, Couldn’t agree with you more. I can’t get last winter’s warm temps out the back of my mind.
