-Weak to Moderate El Nino will be here for winter.
-Cool temperatures have the potential to take the eastern US by storm this winter.
-Precipitation could be on the below normal side in the Ohio Valley, but that is not for sure just yet. A weak El Nino can bring above average precipitation to the eastern US, while a stronger Nino does not.
-Considering we may be heading into an El Nino, I am liking the idea that the South US and East Coast will get above normal precipitation. Yes, that means MORE SNOW for the East Coast.
-Cold shots ought to reach across much of the Eastern US, so some crops in the Southeast may be at risk.
I do like what I see for the East Coast, including the Mid Atlantic region! :)

i dont agree with the midwest. this is the first bi map ive seen. i been hearing the whole united states will be cold and stormy. the upper fronttier will get warmer though in january. but all these maps are guesses i been hearing this just like last winter. and we all know what happened there.

I dont hold to much faith in the weather centre’s outlooks. The maps I’ve seen on here just match about the other ones I’ve seen. Plus I trust what the Farmers Almanac will have to say this year.
I do confident with the east coast, though
the winter in the northeast was mild this year but i hope it snows next winter winter is coming up soon
Reading about Nature’s clues gives me a feeling that this winter will be MUCH worse (better in my case
than last winter was. It’s too early to tell anyway, however we have had several foggy mornings here in Virginia so far for the month of August. Lots of acorns too. This is reminiscent of 2009!
A worse winter is when there is no snow and cold or big snow storms. A great winter is tons and tons of SNOW and Very COLD with some snow storms
I am hoping to god we’ll have much better luck this year for cold and snow.
Because last winter was so pathetically disappointing here in east coast.

@dan129 So far, they say it should be colder and snowier than last year. Sounds great. Though we still have several month to go to determined what the east coast will be like. But we shall see whqat hapeens. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
