Stay away from tall things outside
Seek shelter if you can not go low to the ground
If it is a tornado go in the cellar if you have one
Wait to go in the shower after the storm
Do not go on electronics
Stay away from windows
Close your shades or blinds
Do not go outside during a storm
Do not go grocerey shopping otherwise if the power goes out your food will become bad
Do not go on your upper floors of your house
If the storm is really bad go in the basemeant if you have one

When the storm gets bad and im at home i lead the family in the basement and stay away from any glass windows. and i got the noaa radio and the regular radio ran on battiers. Durning winter storms and the power goes out not much we can do but wait for the power to come on or go to family or friends house that have power.. But good tips climater reporter. thanks for the tips..
