farmers almanac winter outlook 2012-2013

They were predicting mix precipitation for the mid atlantic.

Huh? Mized precip for the mid atlantic? ARE YOU FREAKIN’ KIDDING ME?! That is a bunch of crap Many of the other weather sites are predicting ABOVE normal snowfall for much of the east coast, including the mid atlantic region. And here are some some the examples. Starting with one of the biggest weather sites –

Garrett Bastardi is predicting it(despite even if it is a preliminary but he’s got the right idea) from Firsthand weather http://firsthandweather.com/blog/category/winter-weather-2

Even the Eyewiteness NEWS is calling for it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjguX94mW40

And even the weather channel is starting to get the idea!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcO3hA7p9tg

  1. FatherFrost says:

Wow. Freak out much? Mixed precip. in this instance means that sometimes it will rain, sometimes it will sleet/ice over, and other times there will be snowstorms. Calm yourself.

  2. Anthonypilone01 says:

@FatherFrost Darn right I freaked out lol Well, yeah I was expecting farmers almanac to do a better outlook than that. Then again, they were not entirely right last time anyway lol But I go by the majority of many weather sites and numerous meteorologists that came up with the same conclusion with above average snowfall more likely than mixed precipitation for the east coast. And I also go by you guys in the forums as well cuz in this case, the outlook on this site I find wrong lol

  3. Grandin says:

Lets not fight gentlemen. It is what it is ya never know it just may snow more then sleet where you live Anthony. All this is just a guess. when winter comes we will get what mother nature gives us..

  4. Anthonypilone01 says:

Naw, we weren’t fighting at all.
But I do believe you in saying the outlook from farmers’ would be guessing what the winter here would be.

But in this el nino, it is more likely to be more snowy for the east coast, right?

  5. sapporo1 says:

Well, just be happy that you will get any snow at all in the Mid atlantic, or would you rather have another winter like last year?

  6. snowlover says:

I’ll answer that question for him….NOOOOOOOOOO!  :)  I’d like a snowy winter, with much cold air.  Too many weird incests this year!  Looking forward to a cooler autumn with beautiful fall foliage.  Also looking forward to not having the air conditioning nor heat on for a month or hopefully more.
