Ive been noticing lately that there seems to be some signs of an early Fall. We’ve had cooler temps and Im starting to see acorns on the ground (the acorns are still green). Has anyone else noticed early signs of Fall 2012? I can’t wait to read your responses! I love the Fall!

In Northeast Tennessee the leaves are changing already and my walnut tree is dropping walnuts like crazy which usually doesn’t happen until mid September early early October. I can’t wait! LOVE fall!
summer isnt over yet for you people dont get to excited just yet. But around where i live there his been huge spiders and a ton of big spider webs. And the squirrals are going crazy on my black walnut tree and gathering acorns. And so far in august ive had 19 foggy mornings. But no sign of the wolly worm yet i think it’s to early for that.

As far as temperatures go, there’s no sign of fall in sight. 90 tomorrow, 94 Friday. Haven’t really been paying attention to anything else, except I have noticed that my maple tree is starting to turn from green to red in spots.
A big yay for signs of early autumn season in Virginia 2012! We’re heading to Williamsburg, VA, October 12, and hoping for early fall color and cold, crisp air.

None of my trees are changing into their fall wardrobes just yet, though we have seen some north of us starting, but I have been noticing that when we have some windier days, leaves are falling. We are one of the areas not in a drought (thanking God this year), so I know it’s not due to lack of water.
The spiders have been busy this year with their webs. Chair I sat in last night was covered in one this morning! Oh yea, yuck! because guess how I found out?
Weather has just been up and down. A couple of weeks ago it was high 70′s during the day and now it’s high 80′s and low 90′s with the lows in the low to middle 70′s. Which just so sucks because I’m working at Old Navy until I find a job in my field and they are putting out the fall wardrobe stuff and most people are like, it’s just too hot to even think about it! Some really cool (nice) stuff this year, BTW.

Tracking leaf-peeping sites for historic Triangle area–will check out Shennandoah Pkwy! Oh my, very hopeful we won’t run into any spider webs! On the other hand spideys keep the noseeums down. Leafpeeper you are very welcome! Yea good luck with the travelling and not seeing alot of spider webs, lol! Oh btw, Ive seen my first wooly worm yesterday! He or she had a black body and rings of goldenish fur. Gonna keep an eye out for more of them. Does anyone know how one can put a pic of stuff on this site thru either a camera or cell phone? Think it would be interesting to see what others find for their signs of fall or winter 2012-2013!

Thanks Leafpeeper! That’s our house the day after Christmas in 2010. So rare that we get a good snow here in NC, that I had to get a picture of it.
I took my 9 month old daughter out for a walk yesterday and there were a ton of acorns covering the ground! The weather here is also about in the low to mid 80′s during the day, then 50′s during the night. Can’t believe that Fall starts next saturday (Sept. 22nd, 2012)!
Lol, and now I see the tree icon you are talking about for adding pictures too. I think they should make it to where you can add pictures from your cell phone (mobile uploads) like Facebook does, it would be easier.
