On July 4th me and my family were in the old watch tower in my town at the beach. And took a picture off in the distance you can see the Chicago skyline. It’s a nice picture i thought id share it with you all. Hope you all like my picture as well. The picture was taken at 10am in the morning and on that day it was 106 degrees. This year alone has been the hottest ever on record. Gonna be glad when it cools down. And i think it’s right around the cornor.. ~Dan~

Let me try that again. Yes Grandin I like this photo, very nice. My favorite still is your first snow at 3 am picture that you took either last year or the year before. I have it as my screensaver at work during the winter
. It’s very peaceful and has a great calming effect on me. Thanks for sharing.
Nice picture Dan. Do you happen to know how many miles away the Chicago skyline is from that beach? Just curious.

Is that a lighthouse at the end of the pier, if so which one? Chicago only 52 miles away–makes the world feel cozier somehow. Very nice pic.
there are lighthouses in the picture the biggest one has a roating light on it and when a fishing vessel comes to dock the guy who lives in the light house gives out a long air horn blow to greet em. and the little light house has sensors on it to collect wind speed and prussure and dew points and wave height. and thanks for liking my picture as well leafpeeper.
