What Volcanoe are they talking about that will change the weather a lot and bring way more cold to the usa including the Southeast?I have heard talk of a big one waiting to happen. What will that mean for the US?
Volcanoes?

Yellowstone is one…. but that would be bad, like really bad, I wouldn’t even want that to happen no matter how much cold and snow we would get.
When a volcano erupts (depending on where it is) it usually changes the weather. When Mt. St. Helen’s erupted (dang, was it 30 years ago already???) it massively changed the weather (all seasons) for a year or two.
Here’s the most current as of 10/9/12:
New Activity/Unrest: | Fuego, Guatemala | Lokon-Empung, Sulawesi | Paluweh, Lesser Sunda Islands (Indonesia) | Suwanose-jima, Ryukyu Islands (Japan) | Tengger Caldera, Eastern Java (Indonesia)
Ongoing Activity: | Bagana, Bougainville | Batu Tara, Komba Island (Indonesia) | Galeras, Colombia | Karymsky, Eastern Kamchatka (Russia) | Kilauea, Hawaii (USA) | Manam, Northeast of New Guinea (SW Pacific) | Sakura-jima, Kyushu | Shiveluch, Central Kamchatka (Russia)
What about Katla and what would happen if that erupts? Also what would happen with cold/snow in USA if Yellowstone erupted?
If Yellowstone erupted full scale, 1/2 of US would be under ash and lava. Snow would be the least of yuor worries.
Would not want that then lol. What about Katla?
If Yellowstone were to erupt, and I’m not saying I hope it does, then the Earth would enter a sort of mini Ice Age, where average temperatures would drop about 4-8 degrees. Now that is substantial, even though it may not seem like much. But, think about that. Say the average July high in an area is 83. That would drop to anywhere from 75 to 79. In January, say the average high in that same area is 35. That would consequently drop to somewhere between 27 and 31. That just puts into perspective what would happen. Of course, half of the United States and probably some parts of Canada would be covered in ash and would be completely devastated. Yes, a Yellowstone eruption would produce some nasty cold, but at the same time it would be a catastrophic natural disaster.
Which one other than that one is likely to erupt in the future and bring much colder temps to the Usa?
