Why

STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS WILL BE POSSIBLE SUNDAY INTO MONDAY AS
HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS TOWARD THE REGION FROM THE NORTHWEST AND
TROPICAL CYCLONE SANDY TRACKS NORTHEAST BETWEEN BERMUDA AND THE
NORTH CAROLINA COAST. A FAIR AMOUNT OF UNCERTAINTY PERSISTS WITH
REGARD TO THE EXACT TRACK THAT SANDY WILL TAKE. RESIDENTS OF
CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA SHOULD PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE FORECAST
AS THE WEEK PROGRESSES.
Why should we pay close attention?

I’m in Richmond Virginia and I’m paying close attention because Sandy could bring lots of wind, rain and in some places snow if the timing is right for everything.  Look on our weather blog list under perfect storm and click on the link.  It’ll explain everything a lot better than I can.  Nothing is for certain yet which is frustrating for most; but different models are saying different things.  One says that Sandy will go out east toward Bermuda, another puts her right in the middle, while another turns her west which would be the worst case senario for a lot of folks.
